At Aspire we recognise that many of the items donated to us have the potential to contain sensitive data of one kind or another and we take our responsibility to protect this data very seriously.
We are proud that our commitment has been recognised by ISO 27001 certification of our processes for “Secure data erasure, recycling and refurbishment of data storage devices”.
Upon receipt of donated equipment, we conduct a meticulous examination to seek and identify a comprehensive array of digital and non-digital items with data storage capabilities. This encompasses, but is not confined to, hard drives, SSDs, memory cards, and various other data-bearing devices and objects.
All incoming equipment undergoes stringent storage and processing within our state-of-the-art data destruction unit, vigilantly monitored around the clock, 365 days a year. Adhering to globally recognised standards, we employ robust data destruction methods, including thorough cleansing and wiping, as well as rigorous physical destruction through crushing and shredding.
In strict compliance with GDPR regulations, any data, in any format, must be accompanied by a signed data transfer agreement from both parties before transfer to our facility. We facilitate this process to ensure due diligence and uphold the highest standards of data security and privacy.
