Update for December
Our business / corporate recycling & WEEE waste collection services have reached capacity and we have placed a temporary suspension on accepting new enquiries.
New customers can check when the suspension will be lifted HERE
In-person recycling drop-offs by the general public are now running to our WINTER timetable and we can accept donations on Thursday or Friday only during 09:00 – 17:00. Please continue to avoid lunchtime (12-1).
Aspire Community Enterprise (Sheffield) Ltd is a vibrant and energetic social enterprise specialising in computer recycling whose primary objective is to provide a stable job and a supported working environment for vulnerable or marginalised people.
Although our work was supported in part by public and private funders, aided by a dedicated team of volunteers and contributors, we recognised the need for us to become self supporting through business activities. We continue to be self sustaining thanks to generous donations of computer recycling stock and other WEEE along with the continued assistance of our amazing volunteers.
We have also developed a range of commercially viable activities that support our core costs and importantly, provide a wealth of opportunities for the people whom we support.
If you think we can help you, we are always seeking new clients, volunteers, contributors, computer donations or ideas so please explore the site, click on the services buttons, or contact us for further information.
“Aspiring People”
For those who work with us * there are no barriers concerning experience, ongoing problems of homelessness, disabilities, past mistakes, learning difficulties, or other issues perceived by mainstream employers.
We operate as a fully inclusive social business and everybody who joins us is given a chance and the choice to make the effort to change their lives if they so desire.
Teams are as diverse as the work undertaken but each member is valued equally for the contribution they make.
All we ask is that each member gives it their very best shot and can respect and support other team members when and where necessary.
We operate under a simple common sense formula. Our colleagues are looked after and supported as if they were actual family members and many thrive in the positive atmosphere of mutual respect and are loudly encouraged by the supportive cheers of other team members as they go for gold!
* Potential new team members require being referred or signposted by a support organisation or referring agency.
